We provide a refurbishment service for resolution slit tabs (tongues) for ThermoScientific MC-ICP-MS instruments Neptune, Neoma and Element.
New plates (with polished edges defining the side slits) are micro-TIG welded to an original tab that has been stripped and cleaned. Slit gaps can be precisely set at 20 (“ultra-high res.”), 25 (“high res.”), 30, 40, 45, 50 (“medium res.”), 60, 70 and 75 µm. A single tab can have any combination of slit gaps.
